Quote from one of our missionary colleages

Water for Villages – How can you help?

A few days ago I (PBT Missionary) was finally able to attend one of the
workshops offered by the Water4 foundation in Oklahoma City.
Another PBT missionary colleague, Ray Sanford, was also able to
attend with me. Ray and his family are hoping to get to West Africa soon
specifically to do community development work in the savannah and
forest regions. Ray, his wife Tammy and their son David hope to travel
to an international school to learn French very soon, but their financial
resources are severely lacking.
As I was talking with Ray the other day, he was talking about
how he would love to use well drilling as part of his overall vision for
reaching people through development work. Ray, a farmer-mechanic,
also sees drilling these wells as a critical part of increasing yields of grain crops and vegetables
in the area where he plans to work. This work could be multiplied as new well-drilling groups

are trained throughout the region. We could see a rapid increase health through water efforts
like this in many villages in West Africa.
We could also see a mass movement of people accepting
Jesus as they see His workers helping them. I’ve seen where time
and time again, community aid projects like these make huge
impacts in the growing of God’s kingdom. When believers reach
out to give their neighbors a cup of clean water, people are ready
to listen to more about this Jesus who sent these workers to give
them a pump in their village.
Ray, David and Tammy
Sanford are getting ready to
Please pray for Ray and Tammy Sanford as they raise

and forests of West Africa.

Would you please consider making a monthly financial commitment to the Sanfords’
ministry with Pioneer Bible Translators?

Ray and Tammy already have served short-term in West Africa. During their time there Ray
helped to repair our vehicle. Also, Ray and Tammy helped us in moving into our new village
home and installing electrical wiring.

Well drilling without a drilling rig

Went to a well drilling class last weekend. Taught me how to drill a water well with a hand drill. You can drill wells 40 to 100 ft deep. Its a new organization designing and building the equipment to take to 3rd world countries and teach them how to drill wells and set them up with the equipment they need to be able to start their own business drilling wells. I envision taking the equipment into the village I am working and drill wells for irrigation. I have been growing crops down on the river bed and in the height of dry season you could dig down 3 ft and have all the water you would need. We could drill shallow wells all along the river for irrigation during dry season and they could use the same wells for clean drinking water.

Excel file of finacial requirements needed to be able to do our ministry in West Africa

Where we are at with our financial requirements

I have broken the requirements into increments so that everyone can feel they can be involved in the process of translating the bible into every language that needs it.

Advertising in blog

I want to explain the advertisements on the blog. I do not necessarily endorse these advertisements here although some of them I think are kind of interesting. I put them on there because I get paid for having the advertisements there. If they become offensive or to obnoxious I will take them off. Thanks for checking things out. I currently added a graph to track our giving hope to add some pizazz and to be a little  informative. Hope to add pictures of my currant project soon.

God does as he pleases

If you read the account of creation in Genesis it does not go along with any of the main stream theory's about how the universe was created. Genesis says God created heaven and then separated the water on earth and in the sky.And then he separated the water from dry ground  and then planted seeds and then on the 3rd day he put the stars in place and the moon and maybe even the sun. doesn't seem to go with the big bang theory. What it comes down to is God speaks and it happens it doesn't have to make sense to us.

Language Learning

As we wait on the Lord for him to determine our next move, we have tried to keep busy with what we are suppose to be doing. Our plan at this time was to be up in Canada learning the French language, We are still in Michigan. With the vast resources on the Internet and Skye we contemplate ways we can learn the language. The Lord has led us to a program called Rosetta stone which we think is a real effective way to learn a new language. They use pictures and speak the words to tell you what it is, they do not give the English first then the French that just slows you down. So we spend any available time we have going through the program and I can tell you I know a whole lot more now then I did last month, Our tentative plan at this point is to continue support raising. And if the Lord wills try to go to Canada the first of the year.
